Richard Angus Ranch is a family owned and operated business that was established in 2009, selling top-of-the-line, coming 2-year old bulls. We love sharing our passion for the Angus breed. Our number one priority is to help the commercial cattleman capitalize on industry-leading genetics the Angus breed has to offer. We pride ourselves in offering genetics that provide an end product that is well above the average.
We began in the registered business with the purchase of 40 cow/calf pairs from KG Ranch in Three Forks, MT in the spring of 2009. We established our powerful bull battery in the fall of 2011 with the purchase of KG Solution 0018, who has become the founding father of our industry-leading genetics. We continued to grow in the spring of 2012 when we purchased 40 more pairs. By January of 2015, we were hosting our first annual bull sale with 20 bulls in the offering. Each year, we have doubled our offering, respectively, to reflect our current sale of 120 coming 2-year old bulls. This was made possible by the purchase of the Beaver Creek Ranch, north of Beach, ND in the summer of 2015. This allowed us to relocate our commercial herd of 1000 cow/calf pairs to make available more grass to expand our registered herd yet again. In the fall of 2016, we were offered the opportunity of a lifetime. We were allowed to enter the entire KG Ranch herd, selecting the elite 260 cows out of 1400, to complete our herd. This purchase has truly given us genetics that are industry-changing to share with our valued customers.
The Angus breed is an ever changing industry. Our drive and desire to continue to learn and change with the industry is unwavering. We are honored to share this industry with our customers and look forward to the future of our business and the relationships it will form.
